At Houndmaster Filas our breeding program focuses in producing healthy pups which exemplify breed characteristics. Our production is limited to one litter every two years. All of our male dogs are show-ring champions as well as guard and attack trained.

Nutrition is our greatest priority. We feed only chicken, beef, pasta, rice and vegetables; we call it the “Natural Fila Diet.”

The Fila Brasileiro dog IS NOT for every situation. We will carefully screen any prospective applicants to insure that the intended environment matches the dog’s characteristics and that a happy long lasting bond can be achieved.

The Fila Brasileiro is an outstanding guard dog. When confronted with a situation that it deems to be threatening to either its’ master or its’ property the dog will react. This instinctive reaction is inherent and the dog will exhibit this behavior without any training.
