The Spanish Hound
The Spanish Hound originated in Spain in the 500s. Thought to have been introduced to the region by the Phoenicians, this breed has changed little within the confines of the Iberian Peninsula.
The Spanish Hound does not make a good house pet since it is a hunting dog at heart.
They should be between 18-22 inches tall and weigh 45-55 pounds.
