The Swedish Elkhound
The Swedish Elkhound originated in Sweden in the 1000s. The forebears of the Swedish Elkhound may have accompanied Stone Age people in the Scandinavian region of the world. This breed has been known for centuries though it wasn't recognized by the Swedish Kennel Club until 1946.
The Swedish Elkhound should be 23-25 inches tall and weigh about 65 pounds. This breed is built to live in cold climates.
