The Treeing Tennessee Brindle

The Treeing Tennessee Brindle was originally given its name in 1967. They originated in the United States where it has been a favorite companion during hunting for many generations due to its skills in trailing and locating raccoons and squirrels.

They have a short smooth coat, and as its name implies, it is brindle in color. They can also be Brindle or black with brindle trim (small amount of white on breast or feet not objectionable). Grooming requirements are minimal, bathing and brushing as needed, and nail trimming and ear cleaning on a regular basis.

The Treeing Tennessee Brindle is not a dog for a lazy owner. They are not couch potatoes. They need plenty of room to run and will do best in a home where they can exercise their hunting skills on a regular basis as well.

Males should be 18 to 24 inches tall, females 16-22 inches tall. Weight should be In proportion to height.
